WA well represented in Golf Australia mag’s ‘Top 100 Public Courses’ list

Eleven WA courses have been named in Golf Australia Magazine’s ‘Top 100 Public Access Course’ guide for 2023.

The annual guide showcases the best in public golf across Australia, with courses needing to offer public-access tee times on at least five-and-half days per week to be eligible. A panel of more than 50 judges votes on the final list, with courses rated on their design, condition and visual appeal.

Metro and regional public golf courses in WA were well represented in the final list, with Joondalup Country Club’s Quarry/Dune Course the highest-ranked WA track for 2023 sitting in 11th place overall. Joondalup’s two other 18-hole public courses also made the list, with the Quarry/Lake Course in 33rd place and Dune/Lake Course in 55th.

98th – Bunbury Golf Club
76th – Secret Harbour
55th – Joondalup CC Dune/Lake Course
49th – Albany Golf Club (pictured above)
37th – Sun City Country Club
33rd – Joondalup CC Quarry/Lake Course
24th – Kalgoorlie Golf Club
22nd – Meadow Springs Golf & Country Club
19th – The Cut Golf Course
11th – Joondalup CC Quarry/Dune Course
