WA starts well at Interstate Series

Australian Girls’ Interstate Teams Matches – Yering Meadows Golf Club – Rounds 1&2

The Victorian girls team leads the Australian Girls’ Interstate Teams Matches by half a match after the opening two rounds of play in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.

The Victorians defeated South Australia in the morning but lost to New South Wales in the afternoon.

Alexandra Hilliard and Soo-Bin Park both went through the opening day undefeated for the leaders.

Western Australia is in second place after also recording a win and a loss on the first day.

Queensland is in third place with New South Wales in fourth place. South Australia sits in fifth place.

Rounds 3 and 4 are played on Monday.

Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches – The Heritage Golf and Country Club – Rounds 1&2

Victoria leads the Australian Boys’ Interstate Teams Matches after consecutive victories on the opening day of play on the St John course at The Heritage.

Zach Murray and Brett Coletta were among those undefeated for the Victorians with comfortable wins.

Western Australia is in second place after victories over the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory.

Queensland is in third place while New South Wales is in fourth place after victories over South Australia and Tasmania.

The ACT, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory round out the placings after the opening day.

Rounds 3 and 4 are played Monday.
