WA Open Amateur Entries closing soon

Amateur Entries for the John Hughes Nexus Risk Services WA Open Championship will close this Friday the 3rd of October.

Entry is open to all Amateur golfers with a Golf Australia handicap that does not exceed 4.6.

All eligible golfers will enter the qualification field along with non-exempt PGA Professionals on Monday the 13th of October at WA Golf Club. The field will contest for a minimum of 10 places to compete in the WA Open Championship at Cottesloe later that week starting October the 16th.

Last year a field of 90 amateurs and professionals battled for 17 places to play in the 2013 WA Open Championship at Mount Lawley.

Successful qualifiers will have the chance to compete for WA’s most prestigious golf championship and walk the fairways with Australiasia’s best golfers, including 2012 Maters Lead Amateur Oliver Goss, 2014 US Open qualifier Brady Watt, defending champion Josh Geary as well as Australian Golf Legends Peter Lonard and Peter O’Malley.
