WA Juniors flex muscle against ACT

12th Apr 2022

The Junior interstate Series kicked off yesterday at the Mount Osmond Golf Club in South Australia. Whilst most eyes were on the battles between the eastern states teams, our WA juniors flexed their muscle against the ACT with a strong 8-0 victory.

After only playing the one game on the first day’s play, we find ourselves nipping at the heels of the eastern states teams that played twice on day one. This strong form comes as no surprise following our junior players’ strong form at last week’s Australian Junior Amateur at the Vines of Reynella.

Western Australian State Amateur Champion Celine Chen made quick work of the ACT’s Emily Mollard, winning 7&6. She was closely followed by Royal Fremantle junior Alex Maxwell as he closed out his match 6&5. They then got to watch on as their teammates held strong leads throughout their matches.
