WA’s Ryan Peake capped off his season with confirmation of a spot on the DP World Tour in 2026 after a runner-up finish on the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia Order of Merit.
The 31-year-old’s win at the New Zealand Open in early March essentially guaranteed him one of the three DP World Tour cards on offer to the top non-exempt players on the season-ending Aus PGA Tour standings.
It should ensure he has an almost-full schedule when he joins the DP World Tour as a member for the 2026 season.
Peake was also confirmed as the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia’s Rookie of the Year after he racked up five top-10 finishes alongside his NZ Open triumph.
“It just shows that I’ve proved myself right in making the right decision to come back and play and give it another go,” Peake said of his future on the DP World Tour.
“It will take a little while before I start getting on the road and start playing these events that it will kind of really sink in then. I’m just excited to get going.”
Peake will be joined on the DP World Tour by Anthony Quayle, who birdied the final hole of the final event of the season (The National Tournament) to finish the event as runner-up and move up to fifth in the Order of Merit standings.
With Elvis Smylie (1st), Lucas Herbert (3rd) and Cam Smith (4th) all already exempt on the DP World Tour, Quayle’s last-hole heroics edged him ahead of Jack Buchanan and saw him pinch the last exemption.
WA’s Curtis Luck was also in contention for DP World Tour status until a bogey-bogey finish at The National ended his hopes.
However, Luck’s 7th position in the Aus PGA Tour Order of Merit earns him an invite into the big-money Dunhill Links Championship on the DP World Tour in October.
The same applies for Jordan Doull, who finished 10th in the Order of Merit after a highly satisfactory rookie year that saw him clinch his maiden tour win at Webex Players Series Perth in January.
