Pingelly pride on display at Open Day

3rd Sep 2018

As far as Country Open Days go, this may well be hard to top.

Late last month, Pingelly Golf Club hosted a Ladies Open Day to introduce their course to a plethora of new players, whilst advertising their town 158km south-east of Perth.

Located in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, the town is noted for beautiful surroundings and a vibrant community. These two traits were on display throughout the visit.

More than 60 ladies attended the annual event, with players from all over the state coming to visit and take on the fantastic golf course.

The support from metropolitan golf clubs was also clear with 29 ladies from Royal Perth Golf Club making the two-hour journey to test out the surrounds and enjoy the sunshine.

Colette Nalder couldn’t pass up the chance to take several Royal Perth ladies to the Open Day, detailing a highly enjoyable day with plenty of fun had by all.

“As always the course, food and fellowship was fabulous, Mrs Nalder said.

“Credit must go to all the members of the Pingelly Golf Club for their efforts throughout the day.”

The day was complete with awards handed out to players, largely thanks to the support of the club’s major sponsors.

“Many sponsors on the day allowed for some well-earned prize winners, along with multiple novelty awards and raffles,” she mentioned.

“Congratulations to all involved.”
