Minjee Lee and Lake Karrinyup’s Jayde Panos have qualified for the next round of LPGA qualifying after both finished in the top 80 at Stage II of LPGA Tour School held at Planation Golf & Country Club Panther course in Venice, Florida.
Lee finished with a 2-under final round to finish in a tie for fifth, while Panos’ 3-over round was enough to qualify in a tie for 41st.
The next stage will take place at Daytona Beach over five rounds. The top 20 golfers in State III will receive LPGA tour cards while the golfers placed 21-40 will receive conditional status.
Lee and Panos were two of six Australians to qualify. 2014 Bowra & O’Dea champion Su Oh was the best placed in 3rd, while Emma De Groot, Maggie Yuan and Breanna Elliott also qualified.
