Royal Fremantle’s Min Woo Lee and Mount Lawley’s Hira Naveed have both finished in the top 10 of the Queensland Junior Amateur that concluded this afternoon at the Indooroopilly Golf Club.
Coming off wins at the WA State Junior and the 15 & Under category at the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championships in China, Lee fought back strongly to finish in a tie for fifth place with a total score of 299 (78.76.73.72).
Queensland’s Matthew Samen-Curtis, 17, took the title over a strong field of 105 that featured representatives from all states.
The winner of the girls event was Samantha Foley, also of Queensland, who finished eleven strokes ahead of Naveed who tied for 8th place with a score of 313 (81.78.76.77).
