Lee in top ten at Ladies Masters

7th Feb 2014

Minjee Lee shot her second straight round of 3-under par to finish the day in a tie for seventh place at the RACV Volvik Ladies Masters.

Lee is the best placed of the Australians in the tournament, but is four shots back of leaders Cheyenne Woods of America and South Africa’s Stacey Lee Bregman.

It was a bogey free round for the Royal Fremantle Member at the Gold Coast’s Royal Pines Resort. Lee’s lone birdie on the back nine came on the par-3 16th before finishing strong on the front nine, with back to back birdies on six and seven.

It was a mixed day for Kristie Smith, who fell back to 2-under par with a 1-over round of 74 while Jessica Speechley bounced back from a rough start, to card 1-under for the day to finish at 2-over.
