WA’s Matt Jager qualified for the second stage of the European Tour Q-School last week at Ribagolfe in Portugal.
Jager finished the four round event at 4-under in a tie for 18th place, with the top 22 plus ties qualifying for the second round in early November.
Jager can now push his focus to the PGA Tour of Australasia where he will return to his home state to play the John Hughes Nexus Risk Services WA Open and Perth International.
Jager made a charge early at last years WA Open, opening with a 6-under 66 to be in a tie for second, but fell away with a second round 78 to eventually finish just outside the top-20.
The 2010 Australian Amateur champion will be looking to improve of his best finish this year on at the NZ Open where he placed in a tie for 24th.
