Hayley Bettencourt of Mandurah Country Club has finished as a runner up at the Tasmanian Amateur over the weekend.
Ranked 70th in the World Amateur Rankings, Bennecourt was tied for first after the qualifying round at 2-over but lost in a three-way playoff for the Medalist Honours to World Number 22 Grace Lennon of Victoria.
After easily dispatching of Tasmanian opponents Lu Pround 8&6 and Sarah Johnstone 4&3 to make the final, Bettencourt again faced Lennon in the final where she lost 4&3.
