Day one of the GolfWA RV tour took the travelers to Boyup Brook Golf Club. With the format of the RV tour being a week long event the week would take them to Greenbushes and finally to Collie.
Boyup Brook greeted the group late on Sunday afternoon with sunshine and a number of grazing plates put on by the club. The grazing plates featured plenty of local produce and was a fantastic way to kick off the week.
The course looked in great condition even though Boyup Brook had their closing day on Saturday. Although sand greens the overnight rain had compacted the sand and created putting surfaces much like what was seen at WAGC for yesterday’s final day of the WA Open.
It wasn’t only the greens that proved challenging as the drizzly and blustery conditions proved to be another challenge that greeted the group.
Although the conditions didn’t prove to be picturesque the group was still full of smiles and laughs as they made their way around the scenic Boyup Brook Golf Course.
The first 18 holes is done at Boyup Brook and novelty prizes will be awarded tonight although individual days wont have a winner. Instead after Fridays round at Collie, a overall winner for the three days will be announced on Friday.
