The 2014 Boys’ and Girls’ State Teams to compete in both the Australian Junior Amateur Championships from April 9-11 and the Junior Interstate Series in Victoria from April 13-15 were announced this evening at Nedlands Golf Club.
The girls’ team representatives are Alysha Ahnantakrishnan (Mount Lawley), Hira Naveed (Mount Lawley), Kathryn Norris (Mandurah), Claudia Pisano (Mount Lawley), Nicha Thanissorn (Mount Lawley) and Jessica Whitting (Royal Fremantle) and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard (Gosnells) as the developmental squad member.
The WA Girls team will not feature Australian Number 1 Minjee Lee and Number 3 Hannah Green who will be representing AUstralia that week at the 2014 Queen Sirikit Cup.
The boys’ team representatives will be captained by Cottesloes Curtis Luck, and also include Min Woo Lee (Royal Fremantle), Cameron Jones (Royal Fremantle), Fred Lee (Nedlands), Ben Ferguson (The Vines) and Lewis Clay (Mandurah) with Cooper Geddes of Mandurah as the developmental squad member.
