Daniel Hoeve has put in a great performance at the prestigious Master of the Amateurs, finishing in a tie for 5th place at the West Course of Royal Melbourne Golf Club.
Kwinana’s Hoeve was consistent throughout the week on a tough scoring track, shooting 71, 72, 72 and 73 to finish at even par for the event. Hoeve finished 6 shots back of winner Simon Vitikangas of Queensland at 6-under.
The result is promising sign for Hoeve, who competed well in a strong invite only field that also featured numerous overseas competitors from America, New Zealand, England, ZImbabwe and China.
Jarryd Felton was WA’s only other representative at the event, and finished in a tie for 40th place.
