The $19.8m redevelopment of Collier Park Golf Course has moved a step closer following the endorsement of formal agreements between the City of South Perth and Clublinks Management.
The endorsement means the project can now progress to the next stage – the preparation of detailed designs, advertising tenders for construction and submission of the Development Application to the WA Planning Commission.
The Collier Park Golf Course Redevelopment will update the facilities that surround the 27-hole golf course, which is owned by the City of South Perth and managed by Clublinks.
To complement the existing 27-hole public golf course and 18-hole mini golf course, the project will include: –
- New restaurant/cafe
- New double-story driving range with tracking technology
- Dedicated function space
- Padel tennis courts
- New retail shop and office space
- All-abilities playground
- Commercial/community space
There will not be any changes to the golf course layout as part of the redevelopment project and the course will continue to operate during construction.
City Mayor Greg Milner said the latest milestone paved the way for the local community – and golf lovers from across Perth – to benefit from an enhanced golfing experience.
“This redevelopment will enable the Collier Park Golf Course to become a true community hub where quality golfing experiences integrate with leisure, entertainment and social connection,” he said.
“This latest approval is part of a multi-step process that will ensure we can create an exceptional venue for everyone to enjoy, while carefully balancing the need to protect and celebrate the beautiful natural environment.”
Construction is expected to start in late 2025, dependent on the results of the construction tender process.
