Royal Fremantle will be the club with the most competitors, with over 20 golfers playing in the prestigious WA tournament.

Journeyman Marty Van Eldik (Mandurah CC) will look for another solid performance, while Drew Dubberlin (Joondalup) will be another to watch out for during the week.

Joondalup Boys’ winning pennant captain Tom Botica and Cottesloe youngster Lucas Ferri will be searching to make an impact and challenge for the top 32.

Fritz Arnold will fly the flag for GolfWA as the newly appointed High Performance Coordinator, with the Royal Fremantle Club Champion a dark horse after a strong performance at the Gosnells Open.

The home club will have 16 players in the draw, with the fairy-tale winner a realistic chance given Haydn Barron is in the field.

The competition begins Wednesday with the morning field teeing off from 7.00am AWST.
