Capel’s Craig Reynolds has won the Drummond Golf Country Week Strokeplay Championship this afternoon at Nedlands Golf Club.
Reynolds handled the clear but windy conditions throughout the day to shoot rounds of 72 and 73 to earn a five stroke victory.
Danny Ennor of Bunbury, who has won eight Country Stroke play championships, finished as the runner up with rounds of 77 and 75.
Merridin’s Pat Youngman earned the nett honours, with rounds of 72 and 74.
The top seven placed available golfers earned selection for tomorrow’s City vs Country matchplay championships, also at Nedlands, tomorrow. The matchups are;

The Country strokeplay championships, now a part of Drummond Golf Country Week, has been run since 1924. This year 62 golfers took part in the strokeplay championships with just under 400 golfers taking part in the entire week’s festivities.
