Brody Ninyette commanded the attention of the Australian golfing community after a fine performance at last year’s Perth International at Lake Karrinyup.
The 26-year-old held a one-stroke lead heading into the final day before finishing in a tie for third, upstaging some of the sport’s big names to mark the most significant result of his short career.
A year later Ninyette has confirmed he will be returning to Western Australia this month to play in the Perth International and also the John Hughes Nexus Risk Services WA Open a week prior.
Ninyette’s appearance at the WA Open at Cottesloe Golf Club will be sandwiched between two European Tour competitions, also playing this weekend at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrew’s.
It’s going to be the most crucial month of Ninyette’s year, and the Busselton golfer is feeling confident in repeating the feats of last October.
“There’s a lot of big names there again this year, like last time but being able to get that result gave me a whole lot of confidence.” Ninyette told Perth Now.
“I did a lot of hard work leading up to the Perth International, like I’ll do this year. And it set me up for this year with regard to getting me into tournaments like next week in Scotland.”
