Perth’s golf simulator boom shows no sign of slowing with X-Golf Nedlands set to open for business in the first week of May.
Conveniently located on Stirling Highway, just 10 minutes from Perth CBD, X-Golf Nedlands features six state-of-the-art simulator booths, as well as a licenced bar and pool table set-up.
Amongst the dozens of courses available to play are Pebble Beach, St Andrews Old and New, Kingston Heath, Evian Resort, Bay Hill and Bethpage’s infamous Black course.
The popular X-Golf League will commence in mid-May on weekday evenings, while PGA Professional Glenn Paul will also be available for coaching sessions at the venue.
With the latest Golf Australia participation figures showing increased usage of virtual golf centres across the nation, X-Golf Nedlands Manager Oliver Cameron says that golf simulators play a vital role in making the game more convenient to more people.
“Simulator golf is gaining huge popularity in both Australia and overseas and I believe X-Golf has made the game more accessible and fun for everyone,” he told GolfWA.
“Simulators are ideal to refine your skills and can be played by beginners to pros in all weather and all light. They’re also a low barrier to entry for the newbie, while providing a supplementary course activity for those with a hard passion for the sport.
“The Nedlands area has long been waiting for a recreational space that enables everyone to come together in a fun and laid-back environment. We encourage everyone to come down and try it out for themselves.”
The Nedlands branch becomes WA’s fifth X-Golf location, with other simulator hire venues also established in the state. Find out more about golf simulators near you here.
