Div 1-3 Finals Schedule | Div 4-9 Finals Schedule
After six rounds of the Travel Tree Metropolitan Pennants, Cottesloe Golf Club and Mandurah Country Club have qualified for the Division 1 final to decide the premier Metropolitan golf club for 2014.
Mandurah’s win in the final round victory against WA Golf Club secured the club the best record of the season in Division 1, winning five of their six matches. Royal Fremantle needed a win against Joondalup to put pressure on the top placed Mandurah, but fell 6-3 in the final round.
Cottesloe previously secured their place after Round 5 from Division 1 Gold, but lost in the final round to a much hungrier Hartfield who was fighting to avoid a relegation playoff.
With Hartfield’s win, Gosnells’ 5-4 win over Royal Perth condemned Royal Perth to the relegation playoff, where they will face WA Golf Club next weekend to fight for the rights to remain in Division 1.
In Division 2, Lakelands and Wanneroo will play-off for the Division 2 pennant and promotion into Division 1.
Tied for first place at the start of the round, Lakelands defeated The Vines 6-3 to secure their finals berth, while Wanneroo’s 7-2 win over Nedlands was good enough to earn them a place in the final. Wanneroo just finished on top in Division 2 Gold with 4 wins and a 32-22 for and against record, edging out Mount Lawley’s 30-24 record.
In the Boys’ competition, Mandurah will face Gosnells in the final for Division 1, while Lake Karrinyup and Melville Glades will play the DIvision 2 final.
Nedlands and Sea View will play-off to avoid relegation to Division 3, while Kwinana and Sun City will face off in the Division 3 promotion final.
