GolfWA’s upcoming Mini Golf Championship of WA was given the Channel 10 treatment last night, with a fun promo piece airing at the end of the sports bulletin.
Channel 10 reporter Ashleigh Nelson teamed up with YouTube golfer Ron Chopper to take on juniors Erina Tan, Halia Edwards, Spencer Harrison and Josiah Edwards at Collier Park – with hilarious results.
Ashleigh received plenty of advice – some useful, some less so – from her playing partners and was able to finish a disappointing display on a high after draining a mammoth hole-in-one putt with her last hit of the day, all of which was captured on film.

The Mini Golf Championship of WA was announced in late July, with qualifying rounds taking place at five venues throughout October with the state final at Collier Park in November.
Billed as ‘the most fun, accessible and inclusive’ golf event GolfWA has ever staged, there are categories for adults, juniors and All Abilities golfers, with winning pairs bagging cash and golf goodies hauls courtesy of sponsor Drummond Golf.
