There were more dogs than birdies in evidence at Wembley Golf Course’s latest ‘Paws and Pars’ day, with four-legged friends given the rare opportunity to take to the course with their owners.
The second staging of the event saw an estimated 20 pups striding the Wembley fairways, all of whom were said to be extremely cute and impeccably behaved.
The only rules to follow for the owners were to ensure their dogs were on a lead at all times, to clean up any mess immediately – and to take a few photos to share the fun of the experience with the wider world.
Explaining the decision to allow dogs access to the course, Wembley’s Connor Faulds said: “Being welcoming, creating opportunities and having fun really is what Paws and Pars is all about.
“We’ve done lots of research into our customers and found that the majority are playing here to have fun and be social, rather than competitive. What could be better than doing that with your furry, best friend?”
