Albinski makes it four in a row

 

New South Welshman Stefan Albinski won the 2012 State Amateur Championship at Cottesloe Golf Club.

The Australian Number 1 Senior and Mona Vale member found himself in a familiar spot on the final day - atop the leaderboard.  Albinski comfortably took out the championship for the fourth year in a row with scores of 71,75,76 (222) to win by 5 shots.

Graham Bowen of Mandurah Golf Club clinched Runner-up and leading West Australian with a birdie on the 18th to finish one better than Joondalup's Ian Mcpherson.  Bowen had scores of 74,77,75 (227) while McPherson finished with 76,77,75 (228).


Albinski maintains lead after Round 2

Mona Vale's Stefan Albinski continues to lead the 2012 State Seniors Amateur Championship after round 2 at Cottesloe Golf Club.

In fine and windy conditions, defending Champion and Number 1 Senior Albinski pulled ahead of the field and finished round 2 with a 3-over par 75 giving him a two day total of 146.  Albinksi now has a 4 shot lead over second place Graham Bowen from Mandurah Golf Club.  Bowen completed round 2 with a 4-over par 76 giving him a two day total of 150.  Fellow Mandurah member John Wanless and Victorian Michael Jackson sit 2 further back Bowen in third on 152 shooting 76 and 80 respectively in their second round of play.

Defending Champion and Number 1 Australian Senior Albinski carded a 1-under 71. 1 shot back is Victorian Michael Jackson and in third is Mandurah's Graham Bowen who finished with a 2-over par 74.
